Our volunteer board is made up of business owners, property owners, and community members who are committed to creating meaningful impact in downtown Kentville. The board meets monthly and plays an important role in guiding KBC’s strategic direction, advocating for business needs, and ensuring good governance.
What We Look For:

An active presence in Kentville’s C1 (General Commercial) Zone

A diversity of backgrounds—across industries, business types, perspectives, and lived experiences

Willingness to contribute time, ideas, and leadership

You don’t need prior board experience—we offer orientation and mentorship to help you contribute confidently.
Join a Committee
Not ready for the board? Committee work is a great way to get involved! Our committees meet several times a year to support key areas of KBC’s work.
Current Committees Include:

Promotions Committee – Supports storytelling, marketing initiatives, and downtown visibility

Events Committee – Provides input on community programming and activation

Connections Committee – Helps foster a connection between the KBC & the businesses

Want to Help—But Can’t Commit Regularly? We get it—not everyone has time for monthly meetings or year-round involvement. But if you love Kentville and want to lend a hand now and then, we’d love to have you on our General Volunteer List.
From event setup to poster distribution, we often need extra hands for short-term or one-off opportunities throughout the year.
